Celebrate 2010: Healthy Heddleston

The idea behind Celebrate 2010 is that so often this time of year we get crazy busy, or just CRAZY. We neglect ourselves and the we roll into the new year feeling like garbage, feeling like we need to buckle down and get hard core healthy. Again.

How about ending the year thinking about how much we changed/accomplished and gained? What about remembering who we were last January 01 and realizing that person just isn’t even recognizable anymore. Maybe it’s a visible change or maybe more importantly, it’s an inward one too.

To start off two weeks of incredible, awesome Fitness Blogger accomplishments, we’ve got Katie Heddleston of Heathly Heddleston.

Recapping a year can seem like a daunting task, however, I look back on 2010 with very fondIMG_2820 memories.

In no particular order, but numbered for convenience, my top 10 celebrations of 2010…

1. I celebrated my one-year anniversary with my amazing husband, John.

2. I traveled to see my friends all over the place… Chicago, IL; Eastern TN; Charleston, WV; and Luray, VA.

3. I STARTED MY BLOG in April!!

4. I left a job that I didn’t believe in.

5. I starting running

6. …And then completed my first half marathon!

7. I found out I will be an aunt in 2011!

8. I landed a freelance writing position.

9. I’ve created dozens of gluten-free recipes.

10. I’ve made incredible in real life and online friends because of the blogging community.

Of course there are many more memories from 2010, but these are my standouts – the memories that help shape me as a person, that help me reach my goals, that lead to lifetime friendships, and that lead me to creating amazing 2011 goals.

I could not be celebrating these ten reasons if I did not have a supportive husband, family, friends, and blogging community. So, thank you for helping me have so many reasons to celebrate, and I look forward to celebrating even more reasons in 2011.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year friends!!

Xoxo, Healthy Heddleston
