I’m married with two dog children that I love dearly! I also teach elementary music and perform often in local musical theater and opera through a graduate program at my local university. I love to eat, I love to sweat, and I love to sing! (Hence the name!)
I originally started blogging under the name “A Newlywed’s New Life” and meant for my blog to be about my adventures of being a new wife and school teacher. My blog quickly turned into to something much more. At the time I started my blog, I was trying to lose weight that I’d gained during the first few months of being married. I called the extra lbs my “happy weight.” Through my experiences, I learned the difference between eating healthy and starving myself. I also developed a passion for fitness. I wanted to exercise to stay healthy, not just to lose weight. It’s now become part of my lifestyle! As the content of my blog started to change from newlywed adventures to my daily eats, workouts, etc, I decided that I needed a new name. And thus, Eat Sweat Sing was born!
I am not a nutritionist. I am not a personal trainer. I am not a professional musician (though I do have a BS degree is Music Education!). But, I love learning about new foods and creating healthy recipes. I love finding new workouts and pushing myself. I love performing! My blog is a way for me to share my experiences with anyone who’s willing to read!
