“My Food ‘N’ Fitness Diaries” is the diary or journal of a normal gal striving to lead a healthy life style through her food and fitness
choices each and every day. Life is full of adventure that we can sit back and watch pass us by, or whole heartedly enjoy the adventures that life brings us. Food and fitness are two of my favorite ways to enjoy the adventures life brings us. Having family over for dinner? Family surrounds the food with laughter and conversation. Having an overwhelming day? Going for a run releases the positive endorphins that fitness brings to our lives. Food and fitness are two of my biggest passions that I love to include, and more importantly, enjoy each and every day.
My daily workouts are the highlight of my days, and I constantly try my best to keep variety within my day-to-day workouts with a mix up of various types of cardio, weight training, and circuit workouts. I truly believe that “variety is the spice of life”. Variety makes our workouts fun, interesting, and gets us results! “My Food ‘N’ Fitness Diaries” documents my daily workouts, new experiences with various workouts, the health and fitness goals that I strive for, and the struggles that I hurdle as well.
Next to the gym and the great outdoors, the kitchen is one of my favorite places to be. I love cooking, baking, and of course, eating! I am constantly trying to “healthify” some of my favorite traditional dishes without compromising taste and satisfaction. Many of them are fails, but the successes are what make my kitchen experiments worth it.
I encourage you to look around and decide how you can add some healthy variety in your life. Rather than having that same old boring bowl of cereal each morning, try out a delicious oatmeal pancake recipe. Or what about trying out a fun treadmill interval workout rather than just doing a steady, boring jog like you do every time you hop on the treadmill? Leading a healthy lifestyle can absolutely be FUN. Don’t sit around any longer – go make a new recipe or try out a new workout today!
