Mom Runner

Are you a busy mom with a busy schedule? Are you on a journey of self-improvement and working toward becoming a healthier, fitter you? Are you having a hard time fitting it all in?

I have answered “yes” to all of these questions in the past and still do today. If you answered, “yes” to any or all of these questions, you and I have a lot in common. I’m a wife and mom to two sweet girls ages 8 & 4. I’m an elementary school teacher by trade. My family leads a busy life and between activities at church, school, dance class, softball games… It’s often difficult to find a slice of time for myself.

Though “me time” is difficult to come by, I’m committed to finding it! It’s my God and me time and a time to reflect on where I’ve come from and where I’m going. It’s my time to exercise, run, read health magazines, follow my fellow fitness bloggers, and focus on improving myself from the inside out.

Since July 2010, I’ve lost over 50 lbs and transformed my health. Though I was active and fit during my teen and college years, I believe that I’m healthier now in my mid-thirties (ok, slightly past mid) than I’ve ever been.

The goal of MomRunner is to motivate, challenge, and inspire others, especially busy moms, to achieve better health through an atmosphere of friendship and support. It’s a place to meet others who are experiencing similar life situations, and a place to share and learn.
