Hi there! My name is Kayla and I blog over at Running Through Life. Who ever told you that you could not do something or that it would be impossible to do that?
Well, that is what my blog is about, defeating the impossible.
Whenever I was born, I was told I would not be able to talk properly, had undeveloped lungs and would not be able to play sports or do anything athletic, I would have hearing and vision problems and so much more that I can not name.
However, through all of that I defied the odds and played almost every sport you can think of, overpowered symptoms of asthma and set my goals high in my life.
I was very active all through high school and once I started college I was still active, but not like I used to be. I started running in 2009
as a way to drop the college weight and have not stopped since.
Somebody very close to me told me in 2010 that I could not complete a Half Marathon and THAT October I completed my first Half Marathon.
I have completed 5 half marathons now and numerous 5k’s as well as a few 10k’s. The weight has dropped, but it is not easy and very difficult to do unless you put your mind to it.
It was an incredible feeling and I was able to call that person and tell them that I DID IT! My blog is about conquering the impossible while still balancing a 2nd grade teacher life and a family.
I have been through many bumps in the road with injuries and negative thoughts clouding my mind, but I always remember that I can do anything that I put my mind too.
Come check out my blog as I am starting to train for my first Full Marathon. It is going to be an interesting ride!

Hey there Chrystal! Thanks so much and yes you are right! It is hard to keep excuses out of my head often times, but then I am grateful for what I am able to do now!
