Hello Fitbloggers! I’m Alex from Spoonful of Sugar Free. One of the biggest problems in American’s diets today is sugar consumption. It’s everywhere from desserts to cereals, soda to pancakes, and any kind of processed food available. It lurks for us at every corner, and some of you may think that it is impossible to live a sugar-free lifestyle.
It is not impossible! It just takes a little research and effort. Ever since I was a baby, I would get a rash on my cheek when I ate sweets. However, I just went along eating my hot fudge sundaes without it really bothering me. In my early teen years, the sugar started to affect me more and more. I started getting sick with massive headaches even if I ate a small bite. Therefore, I quit eating sugar.
I love researching health and nutrition, and making new recipes that are free of sugars of any kind. I do not use any sugar-substitutes, syrups, honey, agave, or sugar alcohols in any of my recipes. Just whole food. My recipes are also gluten-free and dairy-free, with many of them grain-free or vegan as well. Some of my most popular recipes include Grain-Free Banana Bread, High Protein Cookies, and Sugar-Free Barbeque Sauce.
