26.2? What does it mean to you? A marathon? A dream? Death:)? To me, it is the next step in my fitness journey. After becoming 65lbs overweight, I realized I needed to take “steps” to becoming healthy again. I started with a gym membership and eating healthier. That wasn’t enough for me, I needed to be challenged and have a plan. What sport had I never been able to do, RUN!In April of 2011, I set out on a plan to run a half marathon in 9 months. DONE! Now I am on a quest to run my first marathon in October. Lining up at the Marine Corp Marathon start line is going to b a very surreal moment in my life. I will join the a very small percentage of people in this world that can run 26.2 miles and are crazy enough to do it.

I am very grateful that I started my healthy living blog Zero to Twenty Six Point Two to document my struggles with managing training for the marathon and being a wife and a mom to my 3 kids. Its a balancing act everyday. I also wasn’t prepared to lose friendships along the way. I am grateful to have made friends in this journey that share the same passion as me.
I have a love/hate relationship with food, so I have been learning how to eat better. I hope you enjoy some of my easy recipes. It has been a lifestyle change and I am embracing every minute of it. I would love for you to follow my journey on my blog. I look forward to sharing my experiences with you.

Just the fact that you have found time to train with 3 kids….I am in awe! My goal post baby #2 is to run another marathon. I’ve never trained for a full with kids though.
Wow.. so inspiring , especially after 3 kids!
Way to go!
Cheers!
